Terms of Use

The rules for using Keyboard Corrector.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Keyboard Corrector you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

2. The software

Keyboard Corrector is a Windows desktop application that converts text typed with the wrong keyboard layout into the intended text. Subject to these terms, you may install and use it on your own Windows devices for your own use.

3. Free and premium use

Correction between French and Arabic is free. Every other supported language pair requires an active premium license. Which pairs are free or premium may change in future versions.

4. Plans and prices

  • Monthly plan: $1.49 USD for one month of premium access.
  • Yearly plan: $14.99 USD for one year of premium access.
  • Prices are in US dollars (USD).

5. Purchase and payment

Online checkout is not available yet. When it is added, payments will be handled by a third-party payment provider, and that provider’s terms may also apply. Subscriptions are prepaid and do not renew automatically. No automatic payment is taken when a subscription expires.

6. Activation and duration

You activate a license by entering a license key in the app. The license server decides your plan and its expiry date. Premium features remain available until the subscription expiration date, provided the app can verify the license with the license server from time to time. When a license expires, is disabled or is rejected by the server, premium language pairs stop working and the app returns to the free French ↔ Arabic pair, which remains available.

A license key is for your own use. Do not publish it, share it or resell it.

7. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation

Subscriptions are prepaid and do not renew automatically. No automatic payment is taken when a subscription expires. To keep using premium features after a subscription expires, you must manually purchase a new subscription. Premium features remain available until the subscription expiration date, provided the app can verify the license from time to time. After expiration or license deactivation, premium language pairs stop working, while the free French ↔ Arabic pair remains available.

Refund requests

You may submit a refund request within 12 hours of the purchase time. The 12 hours are counted from the payment provider’s confirmed transaction time, when that time is available. A request counts as submitted at the moment you send the email, based on the email’s timestamp. Requests made within this period are reviewed individually. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval. After 12 hours, discretionary refund requests are not accepted, except where mandatory applicable law or payment-provider rules require otherwise.

Duplicate charges and incorrect payments

Duplicate charges and incorrect payments are reviewed separately from refund requests.

How to contact us about a refund

Email keyboardcorrector@gmail.com and provide the email address used for the purchase and the purchase date. Do not share your license key publicly.

Approved refunds

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method whenever possible. Processing and arrival times depend on the payment provider and your bank.

After an approved refund

After an approved refund, we deactivate the associated license manually. This is neither automatic nor immediate: premium access ends when the app next successfully verifies the license with the license server. The free French ↔ Arabic pair remains available.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms removes or restricts any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law that applies to you, including any mandatory right to withdraw from, or to a refund for, a digital purchase. The 12-hour period described above does not override those rights.

8. Acceptable use

Do not copy, resell or redistribute the software or license keys, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, or use it to break the law or other people's rights. Do not try to bypass the license check.

9. Ownership

The software and this website belong to their developer or its licensors. You receive a license to use the software, not ownership of it.

10. Clipboard and your content

The app uses the Windows clipboard to read and replace the text you select (see the Privacy Policy). It restores only text: other clipboard content, such as images or files, is not restored. Check corrected text before you rely on it, and keep copies of important work.

11. Disclaimer

The software is provided "as is". Text conversion follows keyboard layout mappings and can produce unexpected results, especially for mixed or ambiguous text. We do not promise that it will be error-free or always available. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that the law does not allow to be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or profits, arising from the use of the software. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes

We may update these terms and the software. The updated terms will be posted on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.

14. Consumer rights and applicable law

Mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live continue to apply to you and are not affected by these terms.
